The Tesla Model S 90D, called the eHawk and owned by Tesloop, which offers car rental services, has already traveled more than 640,000 kilometers (400,000 miles). Tesla has become an electric car with the largest officially registered mileage in the world.
The car passes about 27,000 kilometers a month. For the entire driving period (3 years), front-wheel drive was replaced and batteries were changed twice.
Moreover, in the record-holder Tesla they calibrated the roof hatch once, replaced the driver’s door assembly tires several times.
Tesloop charges its cars only at SuperCharge stations (fast charging) and almost always – completely, although the automaker recommends charging up to 95%.
Basically, the eHawk moves around the suburban roads, so 90% of the run occurs using autopilot.
By the way, the car is further planned to use, especially since Tesla gives the Model S an 8-year warranty.
The more comfortable and larger all-new 2019 Audi Q3 SUV will enter the market in November this year. Prices have not been announced yet, Carbuyer informs.
It may potentially rival the BMW X2, Jaguar E-Pace and Range Rover Evoque. Audi modernized the model’s exterior. Now it looks like the brand’s latest family cars including the smaller Q2 SUV.
The interior became sportier and upscale. It features optional ambient lighting with 30 colour variants, the company’s latest MMI infotainment system with a 10.25” touchscreen in standard.The new-generation Audi has a larger trunk of 675 liters (1,525 l with rear seats folded).
Three petrol and one diesel motors enter the car’s power lineup. They are a basic 1.5 liter 150-hp 35 TFSI (mated with 7-speed automatics and front-wheel drive), as well as 2.0-liter 40 TFSI (190-hp) and 45 TFSI (230-hp). The latter two are available in standard with the 7-speed automatic gearbox and quattro all-wheel drive.
The 2.0-liter 150-hp diesel engine will firstly be offered with a manual or quattro transmission. Later an automatic front-wheel-drive version and a more powerful 190-hp modification will arrive .
Optional Drive Select system will provide drivers with 6 driving modes.The standard equipment includes lane-departure warning and sophisticated front safety system which warns of collisions before EBS engaging.

Starting from September 2018 the updated Mazda CX-5 SUV will be available in the market. Its top 2.2.-liter diesel engine will be more powerful and emit less exhausts. The car maker re-engineered it and enlarged its capacity by 9 hp to 182 hp.
The model received more equipment and an option of the tranmission. Prices start from €27,900 for the petrol SE-L Nav+ trim level and €30,040 for its diesel equivalent.
Sport Nav+ versions got new 19” wheels. Special Soul Red Crystal Metallic and Machine Grey Metallic body colours will be offered. They use 3-layer technology for deeper gloss.
The mentioned engine can work paired with a manual or automatic gearbox in Sport Nav+ trim level. Diesel motors use AdBlue for less emissions and better cooling.
A 2.0-liter 165-hp petrol engine will be first available, both with manual or automatics. Standard equipment includes an adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert and lane keep assist.
Optional safety pack with adaptive LED headlights and an around view camera is offered for Sport Nav+ models.
The standard CX-5 also gets folding door mirrors, 2-zone climate control, DAB radio, a 7-inch touchscreen, satellite navigation and LED headlights.
Sport Nav+ includes a rear-view camera, a powered driver’s seat and heated front seats, keyless entry and a heated steering wheel. For the first time a powered tailgate and a head-up display with traffic sign recognition are added.
The new Land Rover Discovery Sport will be built of the upgraded platform for better driving and have a larger trunk. Lithium-ion batteries for new hybrid versions will be placed under the bottom.
Hybrid transmissions are one of the main innovations of the future Discovery Sport line-up. The hybrid powertrain will include a new 3-cylinder Ingenium engine, working in pair with an electric motor.
A 300-volt plug-in version will get lithium-ion batteries mounted under the central section and CO2 emission level of up to 45 g / km.
It is still unknown whether cheaper hybrid models will use electrified turbochargers or starters generators. Due to tougher emission regulations in Europe the new models will come in handy.
Among other things the car will receive a projection of road closed by the front end and a new smart rear-view mirror.
The new Land Rover Discovery Sport will be likely shown by the beginning of 2019.
Recently Audi has presented the compact Q3 SUV of the second generation. It will compete with the Mercedes-Benz GLA and BMW X1. The company continues developing the model working on 2 hot versions – S and RS.
The basic car has upgraded design in and out, new engines, technologies and even the platform. One of the variants of the possible RS-version’s exterior can be seen on the Internet. Although the virtual updates look realistic, we need to wait until the beginning of 2019, before we know what the new Audi RS Q3 really looks like.
As rumored, Audi will install a 2.5-liter 5-cylinder turbo motor on the sports modification, inherited from the RS3 Sportback model. It outputs 394 hp and 480 Nm of torque.
If the information is true, then the future RS Q3 will be able to accelerate to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds. The maximum speed of the car will be limited by electronics at 250 or 270 km / h.

Audi will launch a series production of electric motors at its plant in Hungary, Reuters reported.
There engines for the whole Audi’s e-tron line-up will be assembled. First, the 400 electric motors per day will be produced, then the output is planned to increase, the company informed. Last year Audi assembled nearly 2 million engines of various models at its Hungarian plant.
Audi Hungaria has been producing engines for Audi and Volkswagen Group since 1994. Today the company is one of the world’s largest engine factories. To date, the employees in Győr have produced more than 30 million units.
The engines made are 4-, 5-, 6, 8- and 10-cylinder ones, different petrol and 3 diesel variants, with power outputs from 86 to 639 hp. Nearly 6,000 workers build over 9,000 motors a day for the VW Group’s 32 production sites.
In 2017 a 2.5-liter TFSI engine produced by Audi in Győr got the International Engine of the Year reward. Audi Hungaria also manufactures completely knocked down (CKD) engines.
The American J.D. Power analytics agency, which conducts annual studies of car owners satisfaction, has published the results of this year APEAL (Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout) Study.
The verified motorists were asked their opinion about the design and driving dynamics of a new car they owned for at least 90 days.

Order book has opened in China for the first car of the new Jetour brand – the X70 crossover. It premiered in April 2018 in Beijing. 3 more SUVs and 3 MPVs will join the Jetour’s lineup later.
Jetour is derived from Chery and is created to produce SUVs and MPVs. Sedans remain the prerogative of the parent company.
The X70’s platform is not unveiled. A Chery’s chassis is possible. The SUV is 4,720 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, 1,695 mm high. Its wheelbase is 2,745 mm and the ground clearance is 210 mm.
The Jetour X70 is available in five-, six- or seven-seater versions. Under the hood there is a petrol 1.5-liter 147-hp turbo V4 (210 Nm) combined with a 5-speed manual or 8-speed automatics.
17-, 18- or 20-inch wheels are offered for the model. It has a multimedia system with a large touchscreen and Wi-Fi access point, a virtual instrument panel, auto parking, a rear view camera, heated front seats, a front impact protection system and lane departure warning.
In the future the model range of Jetour will include 3 more SUVs – X60, X90 and X95, as well as V60, V70 and V90 minivans. Exact arrival dates have not been announced yet.
The Jetour X90 prototype was presented at the Beijing Motor Show. Its dimensions are 4 840/1 925/1 745 mm, the wheelbase is 2,850 mm.
The flagship Jetour X95’s exterior was unveiled on patent images. It will be equipped with a 4-cylinder 1.6 turbo motor with 190 hp (275 Nm) and an 8-speed transmission. Both X90 and X95 will probably be front-wheel driven.
Interestingly, no 1.6 T engine is offered for Chery cars.
The second-generation Zotye T600 SUV will be go on sale in the domestic market late this year. Its exterior and interior are noticeably changed.
The car maker showed the official images of the new standard Zotye T600 in May 2018. Now Chinese media publish its live photos.
The T600 is a whole family: apart from the usual crossover it includes sports and coupe modifications. They will not be changed so far. The SUV is produced since 2013, the T600 Sport debuted in 2016, the T600 Coupe – in 2017.
While the first standard T600 is similar to the old Volkswagen Touareg in front, then the second-generation model is based on the T600 Coupe and looks more special.
In the cabin there is a new front panel, another climate control unit, a virtual instrument panel and a multimedia system with a touchscreen that rises above.
According to preliminary data, the 2-generation Zotye T600 is 4,691 mm long, 60 mm larger than the predecessor. The height increased by 2 mm and is 1,696 mm. The width and wheelbase are the same – 1,893 and 2,807 mm. The T600 Coupe is 37 mm shorter than the usual new-generation T600.The T600 Sport is 43 mm shorter.
The motor lineup is still unknown. The previous model in China is equipped with petrol V4s 1.5 (162 hp) and 2.0 (190 hp), both are paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. For the 2.0-liter engine an automatic transmission is provided too.
The Zotye T600 Sport is available with the same motors and transmissions as the usual T600 of the first generation. The T600 Coupe can be bought with a 156-hp 1.5T (manual or automatics) or a 1.8-liter 177-hp turbo engine mated with the automatic gearbox. The drive for all current modifications is only front-wheel.
Sales of the new-generation SUV will start still this year in China. We still don’t know if will be available in other markets.
