The Ford Bronco needs a manual transmission for all its packages, and this is proved by a petition.
People are asking Ford to offer a 7-speed manual gearbox on the Broncos with a 2.7-liter 310-hp EcoBoost V6 engine.
Now the stick shift is only available for the model with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline-four making 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque, while the more powerful 2.7L mill comes with the 10-speed automatics (both are optional).
The manual is not available with the Bronco’s off-road Sasquatch Package, but petitioners consider it an omission.
The Sasquatch package includes beefy 35-inch rubber, Bilstein shock absorbers, an electronic transfer case, front and rear locking axles, a 1.2-inch lift, larger fender flares.
As of today, 8 358 car enthusiasts have signed the petition that requires using the manual gearbox on all 2021 Broncos.
And it makes sense, given the Ford Bronco aims at the Jeep Wrangler as its main rival. The latter does offer a six-speed manual transmission with its base 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine.
