The new Opel/Vauxhall Insignia is available for order now in three versions.
The flagship of the brand can be offered as a Grand Sport limousine, Sports Tourer estate (wagon) and dynamic GSi. The starting retail price (with VAT in Germany) is €31.790. The Sports Tourer costs €32.790.
The standard equipment includes air conditioning, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Multimedia Radio infotainment system with a color touchscreen, LED headlights, AEB, lane Keep Assist, front collision warning with pedestrian detection. A new adaptive IntelliLux LED Pixel Light comes standard from Elegance upwards.
The model provides a choice of trim levels, such as Insignia Edition, Elegance, GS Line, Ultimate, sporty GS Line Plus.
The powertrain lineup includes new 3- and 4-cylinder engines: 1.5-liter 122-hp and 2.0-liter 174-hp diesels, as well as 2.0-liter 200-hp and 230-hp (GSi) petrols with cylinder deactivation for the first time in a Opel car.
Customers can choose from a 6-speed manual gearbox, an 8- or 9-speed automatic and a particularly economical, stepless transmission, which will be available later.
Compared to the predecessor, the new Opel Insignia consumes 18 percent less fuel. Combined fuel consumption l/100 km (NEDC): 4.0-3.8 (1.5D), 4.7-4.3 (2.0D), 6.4-6.2 (2.0T) and 6.9 (GSi 2.0T).
