The online configurator for existing reservation holders of a Rivian R1T or a Rivian R1S is going live on November 16.
For those who haven’t put down a deposit yet it will be available on November 23, 2020.
The Launch Edition models will go on sale first, starting at $75,000 (R1T pickup) and $77,500 (R1S SUV). The both can cover more than 300 miles on a single charge. From January 2022, the Rivian R1T will get an optional 400-mi battery pack.
Purchasers of the Launch Edition Rivians will have their vehicles from June (pickups) and August (SUVs) of 2021. This top-of-the-range version offers a premium Adventure Package including an Off-Road Upgrade Package.
The packages feature 4G Wi-Fi capability for over-the-air updates, a 1000-lumen flashlight in the driver’s door, a panoramic all-glass roof; an onboard air compressor, a reinforced underbody shield.
Cheaper versions will a 250-plus-mile battery pack will be coming in January 2022, as well as the Explore models with a 300-plus-mile range, mater black interior trim and a manual tonneau cover. The Rivian R1T Explore starts at $67,500, the R1S Explore – at $70,000.
All Rivians have the Driver+ hands-free driver assistance suite at no extra cost.
