The 2022 Nissan Rogue specs and pricing has been announced. An all-new 1.5-liter VC Turbo engine is now available across the lineup. Customer deliveries should begin in winter 2022.
For the 2022 model year, the best-selling Nissan Rogue has become more efficient, powerful, fun-to-drive with the brand’s most advanced engine made in America, the automaker informs.
A new 1.5-liter 3-cylinder variable compression (VC) Turbo engine produces 201 horsepower and 225 pound-feet of torque. This is the output increase over the 2021 Rogue.
The fuel economy is also better than before – 33 miles per gallon combined (plus 3 mpg). The engine provides confident and strong acceleration from a start, when the model passes other vehicles or enters a highway.
The new Nissan Rogue also got a new-generation Xtronic transmission. It provides wider gear ratio coverage, lower friction, better acceleration feel and fuel efficiency due to the new twin oil pump system and control valve system.
As for the new retail prices, they are the following (incl. a destination and handling charge) for the FWD models: S – $27,875, SV – $29,565, SL -$34,225, Platinum – $37,655. The models with all-wheel-drive are $1,500 more expensive.
In addition, there is a choice of 3 optional packages: a $2,660 SV Premium Package, a $1,320 SL Premium Package, plus a 10.8-inch head-up display for the Platinum trim that costs $400.
The 2022 Nissan Rogue will be available at dealerships in the winter of 2022.
234,646 Nissan Rogue SUVs were sold in the USA from January to September 2021. To compare with rivals, 313,447 Toyota RAV4s, 111,791 Ford Escapes, 290,140 Honda CR-Vs, 132,254 Subaru Foresters were sold in the country in the same period.
