The 2019 Nissan Ariya Concept presented at the 46th Tokya Motor Show signals the brand’s new design philosophy.
The concept features twin electric motors, powerful acceleration, award-winning driver assistance technology. The dimensions are 4600 mm (l) x 1920 mm (w) x 1630 mm (h).
The Ariya is previewed by the 2017 Nissan IMx Concept and may turn into a production car in the near future. Nissan characterizes the Ariya concept as “sleek,” “seamless” and “sexy”.
The exterior features a sleeking low roofline, wide front fenders, short overhangs, a high-mounted rear wing; very thin LED headlights, a front shield instead of a grille with a bespoke illuminated Nissan emblem; two-tone paint scheme.
The shield incorporates a subtle geometric pattern revealing itself when the V-motion signature illuminates.
The vehicle rides on Nissan’s new EV platform and five-blade 21-inch aluminum wheels with custom tires. The C-pillar blends seamlessly into a muscular rear deck. A one-piece light blade runs across the body width.
The Nissan Ariya’s cabin is spacious, lounge-like, premium and high-tech. The panels blend naturally into each other and flow seamlessly, giving a panoramic impression from any seat position.
There is a minimalist dashboard, a 12.3-inch display monitor. The climate controls ingrain into the instrument panel’s lower section. The instrument panel transits into the doors and interior elements.
The seats are supportive and comfortable, with perforated leather upholstery and a brilliant copper fabric under the perforation. You can also find black synthetic leather elements and satin copper-colored aluminum accents in the cabin.
The Ariya Concept got the latest version of Nissan’s ProPILOT 2.0 system.
The vehicle utilizes a high-performance all electric twin-motor drive system, which delivers instant torque to four wheels from a dual front/rear motor drive configuration.
The car can benefit from such innovations as the Virtual Personal Assistant, Smart Route Planner, CHAdeMO quick charging, ProPILOT Remote Park, Firmware Over The Air (FOTA) technology (provides constant updates for the navigation system), Nissan Energy technology (connects with energy systems) and many other.
