Four different versions of the 2022 Frontier, the 2023 Z sports car, and the 2023 Ariya electric crossover are Nissan models at 2022 Chicago Auto Show.
The 2022 Chicago Auto Show opens tomorrow at McCormick Place, and we know which Nissan models will be displayed there. The event takes place on February 12-21.
In addition to the trio of Frontier-based Project vehicles from Nissan Design America, which we already reported about, Nissan brings the Rebelle Rally Frontier.
Behind the wheel of this pickup in retro red, white, and blue (a nod to racers of the 1980s), the “Team Wild Grace” participated in the 8-day, 1,500-mile competition in the deserts of California, Nevada, and Arizona.
Moreover, Nissan modified the Frontier PRO-4X Rebelle Rally racer for competition with NISMO Off-Road parts, such as performance exhaust and suspension kit, 4-inch off-road lights, and AXIS wheels.
This spring, the Nissan Z will be available, while customer deliveries of the Ariya e-SUV begin in the fall of 2022. Both debuted last year and both will be showcased at the Chicago Auto Show. They are parts of the “Nissan NEXT” strategy.
The Nissan Ariya’s base price is $45,950 before taxes, fees, charges, options. It can be as low as $38,450 with a potential tax incentive. The driving range is up 300 miles; the power is up to 389 hp (290 kW). The all-new 7th-gen Nissan Z is powered by a 400-hp 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6. It comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. The price has not been set yet: expect it will start at about $40,000.
