The Nissan Leaf is the world’s best-seller in its segment, if we look at the sales results since 2014.
In 2018, the Tesla Model 3 topped the list. Despite the start not successful enough due to production and logistics problems, its sales have rapidly gained momentum.
However, taking into account the sales figures within the last five years, the Nissan Leaf is the most popular electric car in the world bought by almost 364,000 customers.
Of course, the Tesla Model 3 could not compete with the Leaf all that time, but the Model S was quite competent and took the second place with the result of more than 240,000 cars sold.
What about the other electric models of various brands? The Chinese BAIC EC-Series is the 3rd with almost 173,000 units.
