Nissan Brings All-New 2022 Townstar to Market

Nissan has named the 2022 Townstar a “new chapter” in its light commercial vehicle lineup. The new product is already available for ordering throughout Europe.

The new 2022 Townstar is offered in both van and passenger versions. The model has received a gasoline (petrol) 1.3L engine that fully complies with the latest environmental standard Euro 6d-Full.

Depending on the modification, carbon dioxide emissions range from 145 to 149 g/km. According to an official press release, The fuel consumption is 6.4 l/100 km (37 mpg).

The engine output is 130 HP, torque is up to 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) – that’s enough for a light commercial vehicle, Nissan says. Euro NCAP’s rating of the passenger Townstar in 4 Stars.

The company specifies the luggage compartment, which can be increased from 775 to 3,500 liters (from 27.4 to 123.6 cubic feet), as well as almost 50 liters (1.8 cubic feet) or storing various items in the front and rear of the cabin.

The Townstar’s standard equipment includes LED headlights and a 360-degree view – untypical for this class.

In addition, any version of the Nissan Townstar is available with Lane Keeping Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Trailer Stability Assist, Blind Spot Alert, Hill Start Assist, Crosswind Assist and Intelligent Emergency Braking.

The passenger version, Nissan says, features best-in-class soundproofing. There is also a dual-zone climate control.
