The year of 2019 will bring just two debuts in the SUV lineup of the Mercedes-Benz brand. If the first crossover is a new generation of existing GLA model, then the second – GLB – is an all-new development.
The second-generation Mercedes-Benz GLA (pictured above) is based on the new A-Class Mk.4 hatchback. The crossover will rival on the market with the new Audi Q3 and its main ‘trump card’ is considered a stunning interior, as they say.
New materials, innovative technologies, including Siri-voice control, should attract customers too.
Mercedes is not going to abandon diesel engines. They will enter the motor range. The power of the top engine is 220 hp.
Much interesting is the Mercedes-Benz GLB called “baby gelendvagen” for a specific design, but the new car will have unibody, in contrast to the body-on-frame G-Class.
The GLB is 180 mm longer than the current GLA. A seven-seater is expected. Inside, the GLB will share most of the interior and technologies with the A-Class. The price will be around 35,000-36,000 dollars.
