Toyota has released a teaser of the new-generation Tundra full-size pickup truck. It is coming soon as a 2022 model.
No details, no dates so far, just spurring our interest while waiting. What we exactly know thanks to recent spy photos is a coil-spring rear suspension the new Tundra will have instead of a leaf-spring setup.
Rumors say the Toyota Tundra’s naturally aspirated 5.7-liter 381-hp eight-cylinder engine will be replaced by a six-cylinder one with a turbocharger. It’ll likely be the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6. Moreover, Toyota may well offer a new, more efficient engine instead of the current smaller 4.6-liter 310-hp V8.
Hybrid and all-electric powertrains are also in the cards for the next Tundra. Expect the new 2022 model to be more bold-looking and hi-tech. Its arrival should give impetus to the rise of sales. The sales of the outgoing Tundra have fallen in 2021 compared to last year,
