Next-gen Nissan Frontier Goes Into Production

Production of the all-new 2022 Nissan Frontier has begun at the Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant in Mississippi.

Nissan has built the model at the Canton since 2012, while its engine is produced at Nissan’s Decherd Powertrain Plant in Decherd, Tennessee.

To assemble the 2022 Frontier, the company deploys enhanced applications of collaborative robot (cobot) technology.

The new Nissan Frontier’s exterior features a massive grille, a chiseled hood, new precision interlocking headlights.

The cabin is utility-centric. The standard equipment includes a 7-inch Advanced Driver Assist Display (a 9-inch color touchscreen is optional), Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Wi-Fi and wireless charging, Nissan Safety Shield 360.

Every 4×2 or 4×4 Frontier comes with a 3.8-liter 310-hp direct-injection V6 engine as standard. The engine pairs a nine-speed automatic transmission. Nissan designed it to maximize efficiency and provide strong acceleration.

The 2022 Nissan Frontier will be reaching North America’s dealerships in late summer 2021. The price range is $27,670- $37,490.

In the second quarter of this year, Nissan sold 15,613 Frontiers in the USA. We hope the arrival of the new generation will spur sales of the model.
