New Vehicles Coming 2023: Part 1

We’ve recollected the new vehicles coming next year, fully redesigned or refreshed, which you need to watch out for.

What are the most remarkable arrivals to the automotive market in 2023? Here they are, in our opinion:

Ford Mustang S650

The new-gen model (in the photo) with both 2.3-liter EcoBoost and 5.0-liter Coyote V8 available as part of a hybrid system paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission will hit the roads in March 2023.

BMW X8

The X8 is a platform-mate and a sportier coupe version of the X7. The model is BMW’s most powerful vehicle ever. It offers a choice of 6- and 8-cylinder engines, some of which as part of a mild-hybrid system. Sales should start in late 2022 – early 2023.

Chevrolet Corvette Z06

This is a hotter version of the C8 Corvette that is good for 670 hp at 8,400 RPM and 460 lb.-ft. at 6,300 RPM, and comes with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The car is highly demanded despite its high price of well over $100K. The first 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was sold for $3.6 million. Production began in late September. Goes on sale in late 2022 – early 2023.

Hyundai Ioniq 7

This full-size 3-row SUV tops the Ioniq lineup joining the Ioniq 6 and 5 models.
It sits on Hyundai-Kia’s E-GMP platform and enables a 350-kW fast-charging capability that adds 62 miles in just 5 minutes. Expect a 100-kWh battery providing around 400 miles of range.

The Ioniq 7 should debut in the second half of next year with sales to begin by the end of 2023.

Mazda CX-70 and CX-90

The carmaker discontinues the Mazda 6 sedan to make way for a more promising crossover SUV series including a smaller Mazda CX-70 five-seater and a larger CX-90 seven-seater that debuts in January 2023, with its sales to start later in the year.

Those two will replace the aging CX-7 and CX-9. The CX-70 should go on sale shortly after the CX-90.

Their powertrain options will include inline-six and turbo-four plug-in hybrid engines. Standard all-wheel drive is expected.
