The 2020 Renault Clio prices for the UK have been announced. Set to go on sale in autumn 2019. The fifth-gen car will start from £14,295 here.
This subcompact model is Renault’s best-seller in Europe. Customers in Great Britain can order now. They are able to choose from five engines and four specifications (Play, Iconic, S Edition, RS Line).
Under the skin the new Clio can boast new tech. Euro NCAP already evaluated its high safety level and awarded the car with 5 Stars.
A version with a new TCe 100 engine costs from £15,295 (Play). This is a petrol (gasoline) turbo motor producing 100 hp (74 kW) and 160 Nm (118 lb-ft) of torque mated with a 5-speed manual transmission (CVT comes from November).
A TCe 130 version (available now in the high-end RS Line configuration) costs from £20,295.
A dCi 85 diesel modification (in three trims) is priced from £17,295.
From October 2019, Renault will also offer a SCe 75 option with a normally aspirated 3-cylinder petrol engine priced at £14,295 (the Iconic trim is £1,000 more).
From the mid next year, the 2020 Renault Clio hybrid arrives based on a 1.6-liter petrol engine, two electric motors and a 1.2-kWh battery. The company promises a 40% better fuel economy (in urban cycle) in comparison with a regular petrol car.
An all-electric Clio is not in the pipeline so far.
