Porsche launches a new generation of the 911 (992) GTS with more power, better driving dynamics, and visual tweaks.
Five 2022 Porsche 911 GTS models are available to order now. The starting prices are as follows:
- Carrera GTS Coupe RWD- $138,050
- Carrera GTS Cabriolet RWD -$150,850
- Carrera 4 GTS Coupe AWD – $145,350
- Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet AWD – $158,150
- Targa 4 GTS AWD- $158,150.
The GTS models are powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter flat-six that delivers 473 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. Over the predecessor, power and torque increase by 30 hp and 30 lb-ft. Transmission choices are an 8-speed Porsche dual-clutch transmission (PDK) or a 7-speed manual.
The GTS-specific suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), and the high-performance braking system from the 911 Turbo ensure superior transmission of longitudinal and lateral forces.
The Lightweight Design Package saving up to 55 pounds (25 kg) helps improve driving dynamics. It will be available on the GTS for the first time.
New exterior and interior features include black contrasting accents in silk or high gloss and darkened headlight areas outside, Race-Tex microfiber ambience elements and Sports Seats Plus inside.
The latest-generation Porsche Communication Management (PCM) brings numerous improvements in operation and connectivity.
The 2022 Porsche 911 GTS will arrive at U.S. dealers in early 2022.
