New Nissan Rogue’s Prototype Has Been Tested in Urban Conditions
The official debut of the next-generation Nissan Rogue is expected in the second half of 2020.
A pre-series prototype of the third-generation 2021 Nissan Rogue SUV was seen when tested on urban public roads. It means the model is not far from mass production.
Although Nissan has not announced the premiere timing yet, the Car and Driver magazine believes it will happen in 2020.
The test mule is camouflaged, but the vehicle seems to be larger and become ‘boxier’. Thus, the gap between the Rogue and the Rogue Sport will increase.
Another SUV from the Nissan brand may occupy this niche. Who knows…
The Roque’s more spacious cabin hints at a possible return of a seven-seater to the US car market.
It is early to talk about the powertrain now. The current Rogue is offered with either a 2.5-liter 170-hp gasoline engine or a hybrid powertrain with 176 hp of total output.
