A year after entering the European market, the new 2018 Nissan Leaf has topped sales rankings in Europe for each of 8 months 2018. It leads among the models chosen by customers who wanted to switch to EVs. Nissan have already delivered 26,000 Leafs.
Dealers of the brand sell one car every 10 minutes on the continent. The considerable sales growth is recorded in Austria, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.
In Norway, the Nissan Leaf rose in the ranking and became a bestseller in 2018 among passenger cars, ahead of all other models, both electric and powered by an ICE. More than 8,000 Leafs have been purchased in total for fleets all over Europe.
The new Nissan Leaf received the latest innovations developed as part of Nissan Intelligent Mobility. It won Euro NCAP’s ‘five stars’ for safety.
The model has advanced driver assistance systems – ProPILOT and ProPILOT Park, which facilitate traffic and parking. The innovative e-Pedal system enhances comfort and driving pleasure. It allows drivers to accelerate and brake using only one pedal.
Nissan offers the Leaf in 51 markets. It is in demand all over the world. The carmaker has sold over 350,000 cars since 2010.
The Nissan Leaf has won more than 100 international awards since the start of sales in 2010. Recently it has won the title of the best car from L’Automobile et L’Entreprise in France, El Economista in Spain, What Car? in UK.
