The online world premiere of the new-generation Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV will take place on October 28, 2021. Today MMC has revealed the design of the model.
Mitsubishi Motors Corporation has released the official photos of the all-new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and announced the official debut date.
The world premiere of the plug-in hybrid Outlander will happen on October 28 at 12:30 p.m. Japan Standard Time (Oct. 27 at 11:30 p.m. Eastern Time) in a live stream on the company’s global website.
The new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV looks the same as the already-launched gasoline-powered Outlander. This is about a new design concept – Bold Stride.
The exterior features an improved Dynamic Shield design of the front part, thick horizontal accents, sharp lines, muscular fender flares, 20-inch wheels, a PHEV badging at the rear, horizontal T-shaped signature taillights. A hexagon motif of the tailgate alludes to spare tires of Mitsubishi SUV heritage models. There are ten exterior colors to choose from, including the Diamond Color series.
The new interior of the regular Outlander has already won the 2021 Wards 10 Best Interiors Award in the USA. The plug-in hybrid version will have the same comfortable, ergonomics, user-friendly cabin with standard third-row seating and good-quality materials. The new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV interior features a horizontally sculpted dashboard. All the controls are easy to see and use.
As for the plug-in hybrid powertrain, Mitsubishi will apparently unveil it during the premiere event. Sales should begin in Japan in mid-December, and in North America – in the 2nd half of next calendar year.
