In its latest report, Daimler AG announced a two-digit increase in demand for the fourth-generation 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class.
The new-generation A-Class hatchback entered the market exactly a year ago and has already found 195,000 customers worldwide. Compared with May 2018, when the car came to dealers, its sales enlarged by 41%. What about sales in the US car market?
It is too early to evaluate the Mercedes A-Class’s figures in America, since the model arrived there only in March. According to CarSalesBase.com, 890 people bought it in the first month. A good start, indeed.
Not hatchbacks but the all-new A-Class Sedan (pictured) is on sale in the United States. With the launch of this new product, Mercedes promises a “new standard for small sedans” and prices it at $32,500. This is an excellent and cheaper alternative to the C-Class Sedan, which costs $10,000 more.
Apart from the A-Class Sedan, others compact models, such as the CLA Coupe ($33,100), GLA SUV ($33,950), CLA45, GLA45 from AMG are offered in the U.S.
As we wrote, sales of Mercedes-Benz compact vehicles grow from month to month. This trend continued in May.
More than 58,000 customers have become owners of the A- and B-Class models, the CLA, CLA Shooting Brake, and the GLA SUVs. This is 10% more than in 2018.
Let’s not forget about the Mercedes-Benz GLB which will go into mass production this year. The model has been generating increased interest from potential customers.
Besides, sales of the new B-Class van and the next-generation 4-door CLA Coupe are steadily growing in Europe.
