Hyundai Motor’s premium brand has unveiled the next-generation Genesis G90 flagship sedan, more precisely, its exterior images.
The exterior design of the new Genesis G90 has been officially revealed. Several images demonstrate a Parabolic Line silhouette, super slim Two-Line lamps which are the intercross of the lens of daytime running lights with low beam based on MLA (microlens array) technology. There are Two-Line lamps along the trunk at the rear too.
The sedan is the most elegant interpretation of Genesis’ Athletic Elegance design philosophy. The exterior features unique lettering, a new Crest Grille consisting of 2 G-Matrix pattern layers for 3D effect.
The vehicle’s Clamshell Hood is a single panel that unites the hood itself with dynamic fenders which have the Athletic Power Lines around the wheels. Along with a thin Guilloché-pattern emblem, this creates an impression of sleekness.
The Genesis G90 also has an exclusive design of both bumpers, a number of functional elements, such as a license plate, sensors, reverse lights placed toward the rear part to create a clean look.
The daylight openings (DLOs) around side windows harmonize with thick C-pillars. The windows and B-pillar are chrome-finished and surrounded by DLOs on the model with an elongated wheelbase.
As for the interior and powertrains, there is no official information yet. We expect the engine lineup will include V6s, and a twin-turbo V6 Smartstream engine will replace the flagship naturally aspirated V8.
The new-generation Genesis G90 will officially debut in December. The same month, the order book should open for the model in South Korea. Later on, the rival of the Audi A8 and BMW 7 Series will be entering other markets.
