Hyundai has commenced testing the next-generation Tucson, which may arrive next year as a 2021 model.
The very first spy photos hit the Internet.
The company refreshed Hyundai Tucson and showed it just a year ago in New York. A few months ago, the Tucson N Line appeared, and now we’re talking already about the next iteration.
A test mule is undergoing road tests to check its capabilities at high temperatures. The dense camouflage, of course, hides the design details, and we can only guess of them.
As the 2019 Tucson just debuted with considerable updates, we do not expect the company will unveil the new-gen SUV too fast. We believe, it’ll happen next year.
This prototype probably has a new 2.5-liter Theta3 engine (gasoline 4-cylinder) under the skin, mated with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The Hyundai Sonata’s hybrid powertrain may well be carried over to the new Tucson.
As for its future look, Hyundai promises people will “freak out” over it. Well, will see, hope we don’t have to wait too long.
