Cadillac has started road tests of the new-generation Escalade SUV. Standard and elongated versions caught the eyes of car paparazzi.
The model is covered by dense camouflage. Typical for latest models body design leaves no room for doubt: this is exactly the Cadillac Escalade.
The new flagship SUV will share many style elements with a more compact Cadillac XT4 crossover.
The body details are not visible enough. Rectangular tailpipes of the exhaust system and new lights are the only elements we can see quite well.
As for the powertrains, we expect the regular gasoline engine and hybrid system. The current-generation Escalade has a 420-hp 6.2-liter V8 with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The new SUV may well get a 4.2-liter turbocharged eight-cylinder V motor, also powerful, but more efficient.
The premiere will likely take place in a year, since we’re dealing with early test vehicles now.
