The Subaru Impreza enters the next generation with a new design, improved performance, driver assistance and in-vehicle technologies, a 10% stiffer chassis, and the addition of a new trim level.
The global debut of the 6th-generation 2024 Subaru Impreza is taking place at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show. Expect it at retailers only as a 5-door hatchback in the spring of 2023 in Base, Sport, and new RS trim levels.
What is New for 2024?
A Subaru Starlink 11.6-inch MultimediaPlus system is first-ever for the model. It provides wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Safety and Security Connected Services, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming connectivity, OTA updates, a rear vision camera, and controls for climate and vehicle functions.
All 2024 Subaru Impreza models come with the latest EyeSight Driver Assist technology that operates quicker, smoother, and under a greater range of conditions.
Subaru Impreza RS
The Impreza RS returns for the 2024 model year. While the base engine is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder Subaru Boxer making 152 hp and 145 pound-feet of torque, this version comes with a more powerful 2.5-liter 182-hp engine with 178 lb-ft of torque.
A Lineartronic CVT (standard on all Imprezas) features an 8-speed manual mode with steering wheel paddle shifters on the Sport and RS trims.
The RS has exclusive dark gray 8-inch alloy wheels, upgraded lights, RS badging and logos inside and out, and black-finished exterior elements – a front grille, side mirror, and side spoilers.
The cabin has gunmetal and simulated carbon fiber accents; the seats are upholstered in black-and-red cloth; there are rear USB charge ports, heated front seats, RS floor mats, as well as upgraded leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter.
