2021 BMW M3 and M4 will debut in September, and then go into production in a couple of months.
Meanwhile, recent leaked images give a look at the new design language.
As BMWBlog informs, at start of sales early next year, the BMW M3 (G80) and M4 (G82) will be available only with a rear-wheel drive configuration and a manual gearbox. The power output achieves 480 hp.
All-wheel drive (xDrive) with an eight-speed automatic transmission will be also on offer for these models for the first time, but in late 2021. The xDrive versions will produce 510 hp.
M boss Markus Flasch has recently confirmed that the next BMW M3 will have the all-new S58 engine. This unit is launched in the X3 M and X4 M as well. BWM also plans more potent CS and CSL editions later on.
As for the appearance of the upcoming M3 and M4, expect a specific huge kidney grille, widened fenders, sporty rear, restyled aprons, new wheel design, bespoke instrument graphics, fabric and Alcantara upholstery, other goodies.
