New BMW 3-Series Sedan Got Efficient And Sportier Plug-in Hybrid Version

New generation BMW 3-Series Sedan got an efficient and sportier plug-in hybrid version. There is an advanced eDrive Technology at the heart of its powertrain.

The all-new BMW 330e features more dynamics, performance and efficiency than the previous model. The car has increased by 50% electric driving range (60 km now) and reduced by 10% CO2 emissions (1.7 l/100 km).

The latest-generation BMW eDrive Technology combines with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine. The total plug-in hybrid drive of 252 hp (provided by the ICE and an electric motor) can be enlarged by additional 41 hp from the high-voltage battery on a temporary basis due to the standard XtraBoost function. A maximum torque is 420 Nm.

The BMW 330e Sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.0 seconds and gains the top speed of 230 km/h. To save space, the electric motor-generator is integrated in the eight-speed hybrid-specific intelligent Steptronic transmission.

It is the first hybrid model of BMW with an accelerator pedal curve. The car also has a model-specific sound design.

The optional equipment includes an acoustic pedestrian protection function. BMW also provides new digital services in its new hybrid sedan for convenience of battery charging, in particular.

The luggage compartment is 375 liters. It becomes more with rear seats folded 40: 20: 40.The car can be fitted with the Adaptive M suspension. Pre-conditioning and pre-heating of the interior are standard functions (the battery energy helps).

The PHEV received the same optional equipment as the regular BMW 3-Series Sedan, as well as the wide range of innovative driver assistance systems. It comes with Advantage, Sport Line, Luxury Line and M Sport trim levels apart from the basic variant.

The new BMW 330e Sedan goes on sale in summer next year.
