New Audis in 2019: an Updated Q7 and Other Large Crossovers

In 2019, Audi revised its entire model range, including full-size SUVs, the S and RS vehicles.

Audi updated the flagship Q7. Two new versions – the SQ7 TDI and the Q7 TFSI e Quattro – were added. In addition, the company introduced the SQ5 TDI, SQ8 TDI, RS Q8 sports modifications. Those are new developments created from scratch.

2020 Audi SQ5 TDI

The most powerful modification of the Audi Q5 crossover received a new-generation V6 diesel engine with a peak torque of 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) and a maximum output of 347 hp, certified according Euro 6d-temp standard.

The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.1 seconds. The mild-hybrid system adds efficiency to the motor. In particular, the claimed fuel consumption for a diesel is 6.8-6.6. l/100 km (34.6-35.6 mpg).

Although these figures were obtained on NEDC tests, and the real numbers will be slightly higher, the result is still good.

2020 Audi Q7

Audi thoroughly updated the Q7. It got technical, exterior and interior improvements, including an active roll control and a new dual-screen infotainment system.

We cannot help mentioning an all-new Audi Q7 TFSI e quattro with a plug-in hybrid powertrain.

2020 Audi Q7 TFSI e quattro

The plug-in hybrid Q7 TFSI e quattro received a 3.0-liter V6 gasoline engine with a powerful electric motor. The crossover is available in two power options: 456 hp 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) and 381 hp 600 Nm (442.5 lb-ft).

2020 Audi SQ7 TDI

Audi refreshed its most powerful diesel crossover, adding exterior updates, the MMI plus navigation, new sports seats.

The SQ7 TDI is powered by a 435-hp V8 diesel engine with a torque of 900 Nm (664 lb-ft). The claimed fuel consumption is 7.6-7.4 l/100 km (31-31.8 mpg).

2020 Audi SQ8 TDI

An all-new SQ8 TDI sports SUV got a similar engine. In this way, Audi is expanding its offerings for the Q8.

The model started well in the United States, where it helped improve the position of the German brand.

2020 Audi RS Q8

A highlight among Audi’s large sports crossovers is the RS Q8 with an 600-hp engine that delivers 800 Nm (590 lb-ft).

0-100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration takes 3.8 seconds. The optional dynamic “Plus” package allows to increase the top speed to 305 km/h (189.5 mph).
