Initially, the new Audi Q3 will enter the German market with two engines and front-wheel drive. The entry-level motor is a petrol 1.5 TFSI one with 250 hp and 250 Nm of torque.
The unit is equipped with a cylinder deactivation system. It temporarily turns off the second and the third cylinders at low and medium loads, which helps reduce fuel consumption.
The transmission variants are a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic S tronic.
The second engine is a 2.0-liter diesel with an output of 150 hp and a torque of 340 Nm. Only automatic transmission is available here.
Assembly location and price
The carmaker will produce the Q3 at the Győr automobile plant in Hungary. The base price for Germany is €33,700. Naturally, over time, Audi will offer more options for the crossover, including all-wheel drive.
