The MINI Anniversary Edition has been launched to honor the first Mini with a Cooper badge that debuted in 1961.
MINI has introduced a special edition vehicle that commemorates the brand’s motorsport pedigree: the first MINI Copper appeared and hit the racetrack 60 years ago. The MINI Anniversary Edition has a sporty look of classic MINI Cooper cars.
The unique features of this edition include:
- Cooper Car Company logo on door sills and side scuttles
- “74” designation on the hood as a tribute to the first race where the Copper car got this number
- Signatures of three Cooper generations (John Cooper, John Michael Cooper, Charlie Cooper) etched in the cockpit facia
The MINI Anniversary Edition is offered for the John Cooper Works Hardtop 2 Door.
The MINI Anniversary Edition for the U.S. comes exclusively in classic British Racing Green with white stripes on the hood and red outlines. The package for this market, in particular, includes touchscreen navigation, a roof and mirror caps in white, a panoramic moonroof. Now the car is available to order in limited quantity priced at $40,750 including a destination fee.
