Despite the decline in the popularity of the MPV-class models, some automakers are not going to remove compact and mini vans from their model lineups. Moreover, new cars have been developed. In particular, Mercedes-Benz is preparing a new-generation B-Class for the series production.
A test prototype of the new van recently has got into the spy cameras almost without disguise.
The third-generation Mercedes-Benz B-Class is designed for young families who need more space in the cabin for passengers and luggage than the A-Class hatchback can offer.
Externally, the new van seems bigger than its predecessor, at least higher. The interior will largely repeat the cabin of the basic A-Class.
Front and rear parking sensors and a rear view camera are visible on the test car. All-LED optics and large 19-inch alloy wheels indicate that the German carmaker is testing a version of the top trim level.
Engines, transmissions, technology – all will carry over from the new A-Class.
The official premiere of the next B-Class is expected at the Paris Motor Show next month.
