Mercedes GLS Overtook The BMW X7 In the U.S. News & World Report Ranking

The full-size Mercedes-Benz GLS SUV took the second place in the ranking of the U.S. News & World Report magazine. It overtook the flagship BMW X7 in the large luxury SUV catergory.

The GLS gained 8.6 points out of 10 after 37 studies in various sources. The BMW X7 score is lower – 8.4 points. 9 reviews have been studied here.

The Mercedes-Benz GLS is liked for sufficient engine power, confident handling, comfortable ride, upscale cabin quality and three rows of spacious seats. However, the main competitors have more standard functions.

The main advantages of the BMW X7 according to the U.S. News are the high-quality interior, powerful engines, considerable fuel economy for a vehicle of this class, a long list of infotainment and safety systems.

The disadvantages include heavy handling and a small cargo space behind the third row.

The GLS’s base price is from $70,150, the X7’s – from $73,900.

The Lincoln Navigator, by the way, is ranked first with its 9 scores.

The BMW X7 really started very well in the US car market, for which it was designed. American shoppers waited for the SUV and willingly buy it – about 2,000 sales per month.
