After a comprehensive review of market developments, Mercedes-Benz changes the decision to introduce the all-electric EQC crossover in the USA. At least, now.
First delayed, then canceled – this is the American story of this model so far.
The Mercedes EQC could make its way to the Unites States later on, especially since it is a purpose-designed vehicle. The company developed it with U.S. regulations in mind.
Mercedes-Benz EQC was being prepared for launch on that market. It was even priced at $68,895 (incl. a $995 destination charge), and specified: three trim levels were in the plans.
That’s why a refusal to sell the model in the USA looks a little unexpected.
The next EQ-family Mercedes-Benz to reach U.S. shores will be the EQS sedan – an all-electric sibling of the S-Class. Its digital premiere will take place in the coming weeks.
Dealers should have the car in their showrooms in fall 2021 as a 2022 model.
