The latest spy video available on YouTube reveals two Mercedes prototypes, one of which seems to be an EQE.
As part of its electrification plan, Mercedes-Benz is going to expand its EQ-lineup by launching electric siblings of the A-Class, S-Class, E-Class. It is about the EQA crossover, the EQS sedan and, attention, the EQE sedan.
The last two have been recently caught by camera of walkoARTvideos. The similar-looking vehicles hide their highlights under the camouflage.
The EQE test car has a slightly different and shorter body compared with its more luxurious counterpart. One more distinction is the third brake light. It is located on the trunk (boot) lid in the EQS, and on the rear window in the EQE.
The Mercedes-Benz EQE will have all-wheel drive only, semi-autonomous functions, as well as four-wheel steering and a sophisticated air suspension.
As for the powertrain, it will comprise one electric motor per each axle delivering in total more than 402 hp (300 kW) and 564 lf-ft (765 Nm). The automaker promises the driving range around 600 km (373 mi) achieved thanks to a large battery pack.
Expect the EQE launch before the end of 2021 or early 2022. It will be a direct rival to the Tesla Model 3, at least, in Europe. Mercedes will build this model at its Factory 56 in Sindelfingen, Germany, along with the EQS.
