The GLA crossover becomes the latest eighth model in Mercedes-Benz’s compact lineup, which has had a generational change. Short before the sales start, the automaker has announced prices and specifications for the European market.
Since the launch in spring 2020, customers will be offered a choice of three gasoline (petrol) and four diesel modifications of the Mercedes-Benz GLA. Soon after, a plug-in hybrid model will join. Its official premiere will take place at the 2020 Geneva International Motor Show.
Prices for the new GLA begin from €37,270. We are talking about the GLA 200 with a gasoline 163-hp engine, a 7G-DCT automatic transmission, an average fuel consumption of 6.0-5.7 l/100 km (39-41 mpg) and CO2 emissions of 137-130 g/km.
The gasoline range also includes the GLA 250 and the all-wheel drive GLA 250 4Matic. The both have a 224-hp engine and an 8G-DCT automatic gearbox. The GLA 250 is priced at €42,167.05, the GLA 250 4Matic – €44,381.
There are four diesel options: the GLA 200 d, GLA 200 d 4Matic with 150 hp, the GLA 220 d and GLA 220 d 4Matic with 190 hp. All received a 2.0-liter engine and the 8G-DCT transmission.
The prices for the diesel-powered GLA range from 38,782 to 44,125 euros.
