First Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 Sedan Rolled Off the Assembly Line

The Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC, a high-performance electric sedan, can already be ordered from official dealers. At the same time, the first Mercedes-AMG’s electric vehicle went into production at the plant in Sindelfingen, Germany.

The Factory 56 is currently producing the Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan, its extended version, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class limousine, and the all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQS. Another exclusive model – Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC – has joined the product lineup of the plant makes, according to the official press release.

The first electric sports sedans have already rolled off the assembly line. Thanks to the maximum flexibility of production at the Factory 56, assembly of various models and types of drives is possible on one line. Thus, it became possible to precisely adapt the equipment and processes in the shop to the technical requirements of AMG.

AMG’s first production model with electric drive is based on the Mercedes-EQ architecture for luxury and executive vehicles. The Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC reaches 760 hp. It takes 3.4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h).

The main question is how much the new product costs. The price of the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC starts at 153,000 euros at launch.
