The carmaker introduces the Mini Concept Aceman – a prototype of its first pure electric crossover model for the premium small car segment.
The MINI brand has always been individualistic and continues to follow this way. The Mini Concept Aceman crossover is an initial preview of a new design for the brand’s future model generation.
The Mini Aceman bridges the space between the Cooper and Countryman uniting the Charismatic Simplicity design, which is chrome and leather-free, with an all-electric drive. The car is 4.05 m long, 1.99 m wide and 1.59 m high.
The vehicle’s exterior features clear surfaces, athletic lines, expressive color combinations, 20-inch light-alloy wheels, LED contour lighting and matrix LED units creating various lighting effects, and even loudspeakers – acoustically and visually attractive, with a distinctive model-specific sound and eye-catching paint finish.
A minimalistic interior is digital, ultra-modern, and progressive in terms of color and material design. The surfaces are constructed from knitted recycled textile, and a steering wheel rim is laminated with velvet velour.
The Aceman’s dashboard forms the setting for the central interface in the form of a round OLED display that combines functions of the instrument cluster and onboard monitor.
There is a display area beyond the central interface. Moving image projections transfer the control system content to the entire dash. Multifunction buttons are integrated under backlit textile surfaces.
A trio of new Experience Modes (Personal, Pop-up, and Vivid) helps personalize and individualize the driving experience.
The Mini Concept Aceman will make its public debut in a month at the Gamescom 2022 computer and video games fair in Cologne. The event takes place on August 24-28, 2022.
