Mazda’s recent teaser “Prepare for Launch” hints on unveiling of a turbocharged Mazda 3 on July 8, 2020.
In its YouTube under-video comment, Mazda USA announces: “We’re starting our engines. Get ready”. The same content can be found on the Internet in other formats.
What should we expect?
Most likely, the teaser, which is very laconic, previews a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine with 250 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque on the new 2021 Mazda 3 hatchback, apparently mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Replying to C&D and other resources, Mazda has stated that “power comes to those who wait” via Twitter, adding a link to a video supposedly playing the sound of the new ‘hot’ turbo version.
The current 2020 Mazda 3 is priced between $21,500-28,900. Its peppy engine, sporty handling, responsive steering and braking, an upscale cabin with intuitive infotainment controls and a lot of user-friendly features help the model sit near the top of the compact car rankings.
Cramped rear seating is the car’s main drawback.
