New Mazda CX-50 Lands In November 2021

Mazda North American Operations has announced milestones across its product portfolio. In addition to existing models, the automaker plans to introduce a trio of new SUVs by 2023, with the Mazda CX-50 to be launched first.

Mazda has informed about plans to update its model range for the American market. Now we know that three new SUV products will join the brand’s lineup, starting with the Mazda CX-50.

The midsize crossover should land in November 2021. The CX-50 is the platform-mate of the Mazda3 and CX-30, but it boasts enhanced all-wheel-drive capability and functionality for followers of active lifestyles. In January 2022, the first vehicles will be rolling off the assembly line at the Mazda Toyota Manufacturing joint-venture plant in Huntsville, Alabama.

Later on, the Japanese automaker wants to launch a three-row Mazda CX-90 (a replacement to the current CX-9), and then a two-row Mazda CX-70, both on an all-new large longitudinal architecture. They will have new inline-six-cylinder engines under the hood, including plug-in hybrid options.

Mazda says the models bring the next level of technology, handling, design, and performance. The manufacturer optimized their proportions for the tastes of US customers, meaning more space for occupants and cargo.

Mazda will announce the details – specs, prices, tech data about the CX-50, CX-70, and CX-90 closer to the time when they go on sale.

In addition, the Mazda CX-5 will continue to be on sale in the United States. The refreshed 2022 model will arrive at dealerships in winter. The company will cascade advanced technologies and designs into existing vehicles. In particular, Mazda’s i-Activ AWD system will become standard for the entire CX line starting from the 2022MY.
