The 2021 Lucid Air made its online debut on Wednesday September, 9. In addition, Lucid Motors is teasing the next product – a crossover-style Project Gravity set to arrive in 2023.
Now customers can reserve a Lucid Air and join the Project Gravity waitlist.
The Lucid Air arrives in 2022 and costs below $80,000. The vehicle produces up to 1080 hp and has a driving range of up to 517 miles (with a 113-kWh pack).
It needs just 20 minutes to charge for 300 miles at a DC fast-charging point. The model covers a ¼-mile distance in 9.9 seconds, and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds.
A limited Air Dream Edition (503/465 mi range, 1080 hp) arrives in spring 2021. It costs $169,000.
The Lucid Air Grand Touring (up to 517 mi range, 800 hp) comes in summer 2021 priced from $139,000.
The Air Touring version (406 mi range, 620 hp) will be available in late 2021. It starts from $95,000.
Lucid Motors will open the Project Gravity reservation process next year. The vehicle will ride on the same Lucid Electric Advanced Platform (LEAP) as the Air model.
In the next 7-10 years, Lucid promises to explore “a whole range of product possibilities” based on the Air’s architecture.
