Lucid Air Is Subject to Large Price Increase Next Month

Lucid Air becomes more expensive

Due to a rise in raw material costs and continuing supply chain issues, the Lucid Air sedan prices will increase by a considerable $10,000–15,000 starting in June.

The increase in the Lucid Air price will not affect those purchasers who managed or still have time to place a pre-order before June 1, 2022. So, the original prices are still valid for them in May, according to Car and Driver.

Lucid Motors announced the sad news yesterday. Though, for those who are ready to pay over $100K thousand for a car, this news may be not so disappointing.

Thus, the entry-level Pure model now starts at $89,050 (plus $10,150), the Touring variant costs $109,050 ($12,550 more), and the Grand Touring version’s price goes up to $155,650, by over $15,150. New higher prices go into effect on June 1, 2022.

Meanwhile, the range-topping Grand Touring Performance model has become only $150 more expensive: its new price is $180,650.

The manufacturer already collected more than 30,000 reservations, with 12-14 thousand vehicles to be produced this year.
