The live premiere takes place on February 22, 2021 at 11 a.m. Eastern Time (ET).
The model is strongly related to the Lexus IS small sedan: apparently, this is a hotter variant of the latter.
A trademark filed nearly a year ago suggests the newcomer will be named the Lexus IS 500 F Sport.
We’ll know the details today, very soon. The F Sport arrives as a 2022 model. It should reach U.S. dealerships in the 2nd half of this year.
We wonder which engine will be used for the new product: the RC F’s 5.0-liter engine producing 472 hp and 395 lb-ft or a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 from the LS. Under the hood of the LS, the engine delivers 416 hp and 442 lb-ft.
As for the price, expect it’ll be significantly higher than the IS 350 F Sport’s starting at $42,900 (RWD), and $44,990 (AWD).
