A 5.1-meter (200.8 in) long 2022 Land Rover Defender 130 leaked in patent images. The carmaker plans to launch it this year.
The stretched 2022 Land Rover Defender 130 has been recently revealed in patent images, AutoExpress reported. This is the largest, longest, most spacious and, as rumored, most luxurious version of the popular SUV. It joins other versions, already available – the 90 and 110.
With the same wheelbase and overall design as the Defenders 110, the Defender 130 has a much longer rear overhang, a bigger side window, and slightly revised side vents on the front wings. The vehicle’s length is claimed to measure around 5.1 meters / 200.8 inches: it is 227 mm (8.9 inches) longer than the Geländewagen.
Inside, the Defender 130 offers improved legroom for rear passengers and enlarged cargo space. This variant has seating for up to eight occupants.
Rumors say Land Rover is developing a rival for the Ford Ranger, namely a dual-cab pickup version of the Defender sitting on the extra-long platform.
