Kia is going to make sports models, but unlike Hyundai with its N Performance line, no separate sub-brand should be expected.
The Kia Stinger is the first in carmaker’s sports range, which proved to be successful and competitive. In future the company will release several sports cars, but with no N nameplate, like in case with Hyundai.
According to Hyundai’s N division boss Albert Biermann, Kia will not have a separate sub-brand for its performance models, as they are not aimed at racing on race tracks. In Kia they consider such cars to be too expensive to build.
We may expect the arrival of the Kia GT models: bright-styled, potent, with sports upgrades in interior and running gear. But they will not be as extreme as Hyundai N cars.
