Kia Soul Is Launched For 2023 Model Year

The Kia Soul, a compact front-wheel-drive model with a special recognizable appearance, has received significant enhancements for the 2023 model year. The model goes on sale later this summer.

The 2023 Kia Soul has got fresh design elements, both interior and exterior ones, new color choices, and two optional packages. Some safety features which were optional before are now standard. Moreover, the carmaker has simplified the Soul’s lineup: it now includes well-equipped LX, S, EX, and GT-Line grades (X-Line and Turbo are taken away).

The car has a sole powertrain comprising of an efficient 2.0-liter inline-four engine that makes 147 hp at 6,200 rpm and 132 pound-feet of torque at 4,500 rpm, and Kia’s Intelligent Variable Transmission.

New two-tone pains variants are Surf Blue with a Fusion Black roof and Clear White with a Fusion Black roof. Other exterior changes include new 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels, a fully new front fascia, and a redesigned rear fascia. Inside, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation is added, while switchgear becomes easier reachable.

The new LX Technology Package includes 16-inch alloy wheels, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance, and Rear Cross Collision Avoidance.

The GT-Line Technology Package offers a range of driver-assist and sought-after features, among which there is a Harman/Kardon premium audio system (with door-mounted tweeters, an external amplifier, a subwoofer), Electronic Parking Brake, heated front seats, a power driver seat, multi-colored LED speaker lights pulsing in time with the tunes, a cargo cover, and a dual-level cargo floor.

Kia will announce the 2023 Soul pricing closer to its on-sale date.
