Kia will unveil the next-gen 2023 Niro on November 25, 2021. On the eve of the premiere, the automaker is teasing the public with the first official images of the popular SUV.
Kia is gearing up to introduce the second-generation Niro at the Mobility Show in Seoul on November 25.
Test prototypes of the new 2023 Niro hit spy cameras. Although the pictures are of high quality, Kia has tried very hard to disguise the design of the new vehicle. However, the HabaNiro concept debuted two years ago at the New York Auto Show can give some idea of the new Niro.
Official teaser images confirm that the next-generation Kia Niro has received a radical overhaul not only on the outside, but also on the inside, as well as technically. Of course, the technologies and styling are carried over from the all-electric Kia EV6 SUV.
As with the current Niro, buyers will have a choice between a regular hybrid, a plug-in hybrid, and a pure electric version. The next generation of the family crossover is expected to go on sale in 2023.
With regard to popularity, the demand for the Niro is really high, but in Europe. There, the crossover is Kia’s best-selling model. For the USA, the Niro is too small. They prefer larger vehicles there, but, nevertheless, it is present in the model lineup, and in 2021 more than 20,000 Americans purchased it. This figure is almost four times more in the European market.
As we previously reported, Kia also unveiled a prototype for its upcoming electric flagship, the EV9 Concept. The large crossover features a completely new design, somewhat reminiscent of the style of the Kia Soul.
