Kia has released the first teaser of the new generation Kia Soul crossover. The premiere of the model will be held at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, which opens for general public on November 30.
Judging by the images, the next generation SUV will retain the stylistic elements of its predecessor: rectangular body features with sharp edges and vertical lights. At the same time, a contrasting plastic element with the model’s name will appear at the rear.
There are not enough details about the new Kia Soul, though its premiere is around the corner. The company claims they will offer petrol turbo motors and an electric powertrain for the crossover.
A 135-hp engine and a battery with a capacity of 39 kWh are expected for the EV. The all-electric Soul’s driving range will be about 320 kilometers (up to 250 km now).
Worldwide sales should start next year. The current model cost from €17,240 (€29,490 for EV) in Germany.
In the USA, the current price starts from $16,490 (201-hp turbocharged motor, 7-speed DCT). The all-electric Kia Soul costs from $33,950 there.
