A photo of the Jeep Wrangler with a “392” badge has been posted on Twitter. What does it mean? Why is this image worth attention?
It is a special version of the Wrangler, as the number of 392 denotes a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine, Car and Driver reports.
It can be found on Dodge’s Charger, Challenger and Durango SRT, where it produces around 485 horsepower.
Jeep has never offered such a powerful engine option from the factory for the Wrangler.
So, publishing the photo with the 392-badged Wrangler, Jeep seems to be hinting it will boost power of its famous off-road SUV.
The current Jeep Wrangler, as well as the Gladiator, offers three engine choices: a 2.0-liter 270-hp inline turbo-four, a 3.6-liter six-cylinder 285-hp unit, and a 3.0-liter V6 turbocharge diesel that delivers 260 hp.
