The 2022 Jeep Compass compact crossover is now available in a new blacked-out guise. The Compass Altitude models can be ordered at Jeep dealerships in North America.
Unique Gloss Black exterior accents and features of the new Altitude variant take the Jeep Compass to another level giving a distinctive look. This model joins the new 2022 (Jeep)RED Compass special edition launched by the company not so long ago in the USA and Canada.
The 2022 Jeep Compass Altitude’s manufacturer’s suggested retail price in Canada is $38,095, Stellantis informs. In the USA, the version is called ‘High Altitude’, and it starts at $35,985.
The all-new Compass Altitude features 18-inch aluminum wheels, exterior badges and accents – all Gloss Back, a black-painted roof, and bright exhaust tips.
In the cabin, there is the Uconnect 5 system with a 10.1-inch digital display and navigation, a 10.25-inch frameless TFT digital cluster, 115-volt auxiliary power outlet, black leather-faced heated front seats, power-adjustable driver seat, a premium heated steering wheel, Piano Black accents, and a black headliner.
The Selec-Terrain traction management system comes as standard for the Altitude package. Also, available features include Active Lane Management, Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, Blind Spot Monitor.
U.S. sales of the Jeep Compass are not as strong as those of the Grand Cherokee or Wrangler, but they are stable – 75,642 units in 2021 (just 4310 vehicles in Canada). The time will tell how customers accept the new Compass Altitude version.
