Infiniti has shown the first image of a retro futuristic single-seat electric roadster. Its debut is scheduled for the end of the month (August 23) as part of the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
The prototype will be part of a series of concepts, which already include a vintage electric Prototype 9 and a new-design Q Inspiration.
The new concept car demonstrates the development of the Infiniti brand. Electrification for the company is a synonym for performance. The Infiniti electric vehicles will be powerful, efficient and fun to drive. This prototype will become the physical embodiment of an electrified future.
The Prototype 9 Concept (pictured above) premiered in August last year. According to the representative of the brand, the car was dedicated to racing cars of the 1940s, although the company was formed only in 1989.
The Prototype 9 is equipped with a powertrain from the Nissan Leaf (150 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque). Thanks to it the car accelerates to 100 km/h (62 mhp) in 5.5 seconds. The top speed is 170 km/h.
