Hyundai has announced introduction of three electric models under the Ioniq sub-brand.
The company is going to launch these vehicles in the coming years: the Ioniq 5 in early 2021, the Ioniq 6 in 2022, and the Ioniq 7 in early 2024.
They are a Hyundai 45-based compact hatchback, a Hyundai Prophecy-based sedan, and a SUV, respectively.
The 45 and Prophecy are futuristic-looking concepts. The Ioniq linup will ride on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) suitable for various sizes and shapes.
The Hyundai Motor Group, that includes the Kia and Hyundai brands, aims at sales of one million electric car by 2025, and achievement of a 10 percent share of EV sales by that time.
