The official premiere of the Mazda CX-30 compact crossover is taking place at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. The model will enter a segment with a very high level of competition. One of the leaders here is the Hyundai Kona.
The launch of the Mazda CX-30 has been expected, although the Geneva premiere is a surprise to some extent. The new crossover, as automaker claims, is a slot between the CX-3 and CX-5 models.
However, besides filling this vacuum, the CX-30 has another task: attraction of young buyers. The vehicle got a stylish sporty appearance, which is a ‘trump card’.
Impressive exterior may allow the Mazda CX-30 distract the attention of a certain, and perhaps a significant part of potential buyers from the Hyundai Kona. The latter is also cute and promising.
The Hyundai Kona costs from $19,240 in the U.S. Moreover, this spring its all-electric version goes on sale.
As for the 2020 Mazda CX-30, today we know for sure that the crossover will be available in the USA, albeit the pricing and sales start date have not been announced yet.
We can assume the CX-30 will cost from $20,390 to $24,350, that is, somewhere between price tags for the Mazda CX-3 and CX-5.
